Two Months

In SEVERAL months, this trail is going to be a great long run route!

The last couple of days have been pretty good!  I was finally cleared for resisted indoor biking on Monday.  Yippee.  I have to ease myself into it, but I actually was able to break into a little bit of a sweat last night with 45 minutes of pedaling.  I can't wait until I can build this up to 90 minutes to 2 hours of decent effort cycling.  That will be awesome.  Hopefully I'll be able to get there in a couple of weeks.

I've also been walking quite a bit on the trails starting last week.  Fun!  Yesterday was my longest walk of 6.5 miles.  I felt solid during it, I was getting over it mentally (walking just seems soooo inefficient in going places compared to running) the last 15 minutes or so, stuff was getting pretty achey and I was ready to be done, but I feel great this morning.  I don't get the satisfaction from walking like I do from running, but at least I'm outside breathing in cool, fresh air and seeing some amazing scenery!

Up Near Horsetooth Rock!

I fly to MN this weekend for my follow-up with Dr. Larson on Monday.  I'm curious to see what he has to say.  I felt a little behind for a while, but I feel like I'm moving ahead of the curve now!  I have always been a freakishly great healer (I swear, I have until this one!) and was pretty bummed when I was not hitting milestones early or on time at first.  Now, I'm feeling how I think I should be.  Part of me believes that getting outside and beginning to get some form of exercise starting last week got my body back into its repair and move forward mode again.  I know there will be plenty of setbacks and I'm expecting them but hopefully I can keep getting outside and get back some of my cardio on the bike!
